AMA-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium

The AMA-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium is held annually at a top marketing college or university just before the AMA Summer Educators' Conference. Schools are selected based on their close proximity to the conference each year and co-chairs are then selected from the chosen university's marketing staff to organize the event.

Established in 1965, the AMA-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium was created as an endowment to encourage marketing doctoral candidates to undertake research in significant subject areas, while exposing the students to rigorous and balanced coverage of current issues and research in marketing. The AMA-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium provides an opportunity over several days for the academic and corporate communities to dialogue, debate, and develop some mutual research interests by bringing together outstanding doctoral students from the United States and Canada with the premier marketing academics from around the country.

Each institution that grants a Ph.D. in Marketing is permitted to send one senior doctoral candidate. The 40-50 faculty invited to make presentations and interact with students are a veritable "who's who" in marketing.

The 2007 AMA-Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium will be held at the W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, in Tempe, Arizona. The dates for the Consortium are May 16-20, 2007.  For additional information please visit the host doctoral consortium Web page below.
